today i went for a walk along a cliff edge and it was quite windy, wearing nothing but a pair of chinos and polo shirt i felt pretty much frozen. we scrambled down some smooth, slippery rocks to a bay and i don’t know why but i had a real urge to swim. so i ran and ran towards the waters edge and shed my clothes as i ran, it was quite cold. luckily as i swam deeper and deeper i became warmer and warmer. it was wonderful and the sea was absolutely haunted, no one was around apart from my mother and i, we jumped over the incoming waves in a rhythmic fashion and the only thing i could hear was our laughter, giddy and childlike. it was as if we had forgotten that it was 14 degrees outside.
